Nataša Papić-Blagojević

Project Coordinator
Nataša Papić-Blagojević, PhD is a professor of applied studies and the deputy director for education at Novi Sad School of Business, Serbia. Her occupational field is economic statistics and the application of statistical methods in economic research. Her position, as a deputy director, includes organizing and monitoring the implementation of all academic activities, managing student affairs and monitoring the implementation of quality standards in the teaching process. In addition, she actively participates in the organization of practical trainings for students in the companies that are signatories of the cooperation agreements with Novi Sad School of Business. As a member of NSSB Commission for Accreditation since 2012 and a president since 2016 she participated in designing and developing curricula for different study programmes and also prepared materials according to accreditation standards. During 2013 and 2014, as a deputy director for international cooperation, she organized and guided student exchange programs in Krakow University, Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski in Poland. In May 2013 she organized the seminar in Novi Sad School of Business titled “Cross-Cultural Management” with the lecturer professor Wei Zhang from Business School, University of International Business and Economics, Beijing, China. Also, she was a member of the Organizational Board of International Scientific and Expert Conference “Economic Development and Competitiveness of European Countries Achievements – Challenges – Opportunities” that was held in Novi Sad Business School in October 2018. In this year, 2019, as a part of Erasmus+ mobility programme she will be a visiting lecturer at College of Management in Tourism and Informatics in Virovitica, Croatia. She has fourteen years of experience in lecturing on undergraduate and master study programmes in courses: Business Statistics, Financial Mathematics, Actuarial Mathematics and Applied Statistics in Business. Her research experience is presented through writing scientific papers in the fields of statistics and higher education published in journals, monographs and conference proceedings. She is a manager of NSSB team in the Erasmus+ Pro-VET project (Professional Development of Vocational Education Teachers’ with European Practices) funded by EACEA and she participated as a researcher in the Tempus project from 2013 until 2014 (Modernization and Harmonization of Tourism Study Programs in Serbia). Also, she is a leader of the project financed by the Provincial Secretariat for Higher Education and Scientific Research “Analysis of the Quality and Efficiency of the Teaching Process in Higher Vocational Schools in the territory of AP Vojvodina” and in 2017 she participated as a researcher in the project “Entrepreneurial Potential of Students of Higher Vocational Schools in the territory of AP Vojvodina” also funded by the Provincial Secretariat. She is a member of Statistical Society of Republic of Serbia.

Jelena Damnjanović

Professor - International Economics
Jelena Damnjanović, PhD is a professor of international business and the director of Novi Sad School of Business, Serbia. Her major academic interests are the European Union, international economics, transnational corporations and foreign direct investments, globalisation, international trade and competition. In 2008 she was appointed member of the Working Group in charge of drafting the law on foreign investment projects. She is the (co)author of more than 40 academic papers, four books and participant in international and government projects. In the period from 2013 until 2017 professor Damjanović was a guest lecturer and presented papers at the University of Geneva (Switzerland), City University (Hong Kong, China) and Florence International Autumn School (Florence, Italy). She has 20 years of experience in lecturing on the undergraduate and master courses such as: International Trade, International Economics, Trade Management and Economics of the EU. She is a participant as a teacher trainer in Erasmus+ Pro-VET project (Professional Development of Vocational Education Teachers’ with European Practices). In 2017 she participated in three projects financed by the Provincial Secretariat for Higher Education and Scientific Research and in 2018 she became a leader of one oriented on international business and trade also funded by Provincial Secretariat. As a professor with respected experience in international economics she participated in designing curricula for undergraduate study programme Trade and International Business and master programme International Business and Finance at NSSB. In 2018 she was the president of the Organizational board of International Scientific and Expert Conference “Economic Development and Competitiveness of European Countries Achievements – Challenges – Opportunities” organized in the Novi Sad School of Business. In order to promote HEI values with respecting students’ opinion she was a member of the team that hosted more than 700 students in organizing European Universities Debating Championships EUDC2018 in NSSB in August 2018.

Miroslav N. Jovanović

Professor - International Economics
Miroslav N. Jovanović, PhD teaches economic integration at the University of Geneva (The Alma mater of Jose Manuel Barroso, the former head of the European Commission) and Economics of the EU and Economics of International Integrations on master studies at Novi Sad School of Business as a guesting lecturer. He worked for the United Nations from 1989 to 2017, first at the UN Centre for Transnational Corporations in New York before moving in 1992 to the UN Economic Commission for Europe in Geneva. At the Centre he worked closely for three years with the General Editor, John H. Dunning, on the UN Library on Transnational Corporations, a set of readings covering all economic aspects of transnational corporations and foreign direct investment. The set comprises 20 volumes and is the biggest project ever to come from the Centre. It was published by Routledge of London in 1993 and 1994. In 1992, he moved to the UN Economic Commission for Europe in Geneva where his assignments included trade and investment promotion and facilitation, relations with the European Union, statistics, and finally, the promotion of links between Europe and Asia. Professor Jovanović principal academic and research interests are in: International economic integration, Evolutionary economics and geography, European Union, Enlargement of the European Union, Location of firms/industries and spatial economics, Industrial, trade and competition policies, Transnational corporations and foreign direct investment. He is also known as a great connoisseur of the economic situation in transition countries. He is the author and editor of 25 volumes (including textbooks) that deal with economic integration. Most of them were published in Britain, while a few ones were published in the USA, China, Greece and Serbia. Jovanović is also the author of numerous articles on the issue of economic integration published in refereed journals and contributor (with Jelena Damnjanović) to the Palgrave Encyclopaedia. He won the Daeyang Prize for Year 2010 for the best article (‘Is globalisation taking us for a ride’, September, pp. 501-549) published in the Journal of Economic Integration in 2010. He has given courses and public lectures at the many academic institutions such as: Austria: Johannes Kepler University, Linz; China: Nankai University, Tianjin; Croatia: University of Zagreb; England: University of Cambridge; Germany: University of Reutlingen; University of Mannheim etc.

Jovan Njegić

Professor - Data Science
Jovan Njegić, PhD is a professor of applied studies and Head of the Office for Projects and International Cooperation at the Novi Sad School of Business, Serbia. He is specialist in the field of quantitative finance, data analysis, data science, machine learning algorithms, artificial intelligence and online learning platforms development. He has programming-related skills in: R, Python, Data Analysis, Supervised Machine Learning Unsupervised Machine Learning Reinforcement Learning, Deep Learning – Neural Networks JavaScript and HTML CSS. He has 13 years of experience in lecturing on undergraduate, specialists and master courses at Novi Sad School of Business. He also has an additional experience that he gained at Sunningdale Capital LLP, London, UK, 2011 Intern, topic: Developed software to support investment research of hedge fund index products and at Zepter Invest, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2010 Intern, topic: Investment management and investment analysis, managing company’s transaction control and supervision. In 2018 he was a lecturer at Applied Artificial Intelligence Workshop for software developers and a participant in the project – Development of deep neural network for computer vision related project in ComData, Novi Sad, Serbia. He published his research results in numerous international scientific journals and conference proceedings. In 2017 he was a Project manager in the project “Measuring the Current Level of Competitiveness of AP Vojvodina”, financed by the Provincial Secretariat for Higher Education and Scientific Research, Vojvodina, Serbia. He was also a member of team responsible for the process of NSSB study programmes’ accreditation on multiple occasions. In 2018 he was in Organizational board of International Scientific and Expert Conference “Economic Development and Competitiveness of European Countries Achievements – Challenges – Opportunities” organized in the Novi Sad School of Business and also a member of the team that organized European Universities Debating Championships EUDC2018 in NSSB in August 2018. In the project he will be responsible for setting up the web platform, which will serve for dissemination of video and interactive studying materials.

Biljana Stankov

Professor - International Economics
Biljana Stankov, PhD is a lecturer at Trade and International Cooperation Department at the Novi Sad School of Business. The basic areas of her current interest, teaching-scientific work and future scientific training are: European Union, International economy and the Economy of European integrations, Foreign direct investments and National competitiveness. Since 2007, she has been employed at the Faculty of Economics and Engineering Management, University of Business Academy as a teaching associate, and at the end of 2008 she became a teaching associate at the Novi Sad School of Business, where after completion of Master Academic Studies, she become a teaching assistant. Since 2016, in cooperation with the Editor-in-Chief, she has been dealing with the editing of the scientific journal “School of Business”, published by the Novi Sad School of Business. As a reviewer, she was engaged by the editorial board of the scientific journals “Management: Journal of Sustainable Business and Management Solutions in Emerging Economies” and “EMC Review – Economy and Market Communication Review”. In 2018 she was in Organizational Board of the International Scientific and Expert Conference “Economic Development and Competitiveness of European Countries Achievements – Challenges – Opportunities” that was held in NSSB. So far, as author or co-author, Biljana Stankov participated and presented papers in about 30 scientific conferences, published about 20 papers in scientific journals and 3 papers in monograph studies. During her 10-year teaching work, her priority was fostering good relationships and direct communication with students while maintaining high quality of teaching and other activities. Biljana Stankov has been engaged in realization of teaching in many subjects, among which are the Economics of the European Union, Foreign Trade and Modern Business Environment. She is also an active participant of NSSB Marketing team, she works on promotions in secondary schools in region of Vojvodina since 2008, organizes secondary school students visit to Novi Sad School of Business, promote HEI values in Education fairs and helps in improving collaboration with secondary school professors and students.

Ivana Jošanov Vrgović

Professor - Sociology
Ivana Jošanov-Vrgović, PhD works as a lecturer at Novi Sad School of Business, Serbia. She completed PhD studies in Management in Education at the University of Novi Sad, Association of Centres for Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Studies and Research – ACIMSI. She has thirteen years of working experience in lecturing in courses: Management, Human Recourse Management, Organizational Behaviour, Leadership, Business Communication and Psychology. In the period from 2010 to 2014, she held the positions of assistant professor, assistant director for Organization and Human Resources, member of the School Council, member and coordinator of marketing team, coordinator of the group for the preparation of reports on self-evaluation, trainer for presentation skills and public speaking at the Modern Business School (MBS) in Belgrade. In the period from 2015 until 2016, she was a professor of applied studies at the Football Academy, College for Football Coaching and Sport Management in Belgrade. She mentored over 25 graduate and master students’ works. She has 10 years of consultative work experience in the professional selection of candidates for work, organization and implementation of various training for employees at all levels, assessments of the performance of employees, establishing a reward system and motivating employees. She participated in two projects financed by the Provincial Secretariat for Higher Education and Scientific Research, and she gained important experience which had youth in their focus. She is a reviewer of national and international scientific journals. She is the author or co-author of a large number of scientific papers and the author of numerous seminars and trainings in the fields of communication, human resources management and organizational behaviour. Furthermore, she is an active participant in numerous local and international conferences. In scientific research, she tries to prove the correlation between different aspects of individuals, groups and organizations and organizational performance, as well as the connection between high-quality human resource management practices and organizational performance. She is awarded as a guest lecturer at the Youth Employment Forum 2019 within European Youth Centre of Vojvodina. This organization is fostering young people to take active part in national and international projects through team work. The lecture topic is „Tricks and tips in a preparation for job interview“.

Ana Jovičić Vuković

Professor - Tourism
Ana Jovičić Vuković, PhD, works as a lecturer in field of tourism management at the NSSB. She gained important research experience during her participation as a research associate in two national scientific projects and two provincial projects which had youth in their focus. As a result of the projects and her research activity she published more than 50 scientific papers in international journals and conferences. Thanks her academic success she was awarded many times by different organizations (she participated in EU Erasmus exchange programmes, European Movement Serbia programme Share Your Knowledge, DAAD international courses etc.). She was an active participant at DIAnet international school The Role of Cultural Heritage for the Sustainable Development of the Danube Region. She has more than 9 years of working experience in lecturing. In addition, as a member of marketing team at 4 HEIs she gained important experience in developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans in higher education. Since 2009 she has successfully and continuously performed promotions in secondary schools and at educational fairs (at local, regional and national level) during which she has maintained close contact with secondary school teachers and students. She was project coordinator of many events such as conferences, thematic events, guest lectures, seminars etc. She is an active member – volunteer at the Ecological Movement of Novi Sad where she experienced close work with youth through lectures she held. From 2017 she is a team member of Centre for career development where she organizes events, seminars and lectures aimed to help young people and students to improve skills, knowledge and to successfully start their carrier.

Dragana Tomašević

Professor - International Economics
Dragana Tomašević is employed as a teaching assistant at the Novi Sad School of Business. She completed basic and master studies in Department of European Economics and Business in the Faculty of Economics, Subotica. During the studies, she gained exceptional competencies for understanding the European and international economies, which enabled a critical re-examination of the European economy, its macro/microeconomic, economic, political and branch aspects. She is currently a PhD student in the study program Business economics, Marketing. Dragana Tomašević is also an acitve member of the Marketing team of Novi Sad School of Business for many years. She works on promotions in the secondary school in region of Autonomus Province of Vojvodina and advocates for fair and open communication with both secondary school students and students with whom she collaborates on excercises. She has eight year of excperience in preparing and performing exercises in courses: Consumer Behaviour, Business Economics, Fundamentals of Economis and Business Statistics. She is an author of numerous papers published in national and international conferences and leading national journals.
